See you next week?
I wanted to write a quick note to invite you to meet the Zevo team at a very special inaugural event which is happening next week in London.
The Trust and Safety Summit is happening at the Park Plaza Victoria next week, with Zevo taking part as a sponsor. Our Clinical Director, Dr Michelle Teo, will be hosting a panel discussion about Content Moderator wellbeing on the second day of the event.
Some highlights that we are looking forward to:
The agenda is jam-packed with incredible speakers from some of the largest platforms in the world. The organizers are welcoming speakers from Bumble, Twitch, Hinge, Integrity Institute, Meta, Ofcom, Roblox, and the Lego Group. Let’s look at some of the event highlights:
Day 1
- The opening keynote is being delivered by the Director of Online Safety at Ofcom – Jessica Zucker, and she will be speaking about Navigating the Changing Landscape: The Evolution of Trust & Safety and Online Harms.
- That session is followed by an interesting panel discussion about how to craft policies and partner with key stakeholders to enhance your moderation, with speakers from Bumble, Roblox and Oversight Board
- Then they break into two streams, to give you even more specialized content.
- At the end of Day one, your patience will be rewarded with a nice, long drinks reception, we will see you there!
Day 2
- Day two opens with two keynote presentations, including one about how to ensure you have a trust-first mindset in the age of AI which looks at the role of GenAI in the Trust & Safety world with Amie White, Senior Director of Risk, Ethics & Policy at Hinge.
- Dr Michelle Teo, Clinical Director at Zevo, will be joined by a very prestigious panel to talk about Content Moderator wellbeing and how we can address the psychological toll of content moderation. She will be discussing this topic with:
- Elena Martellozzo – Associate Director of Centre for Abuse and Trauma Studies at Middlesex University London
- Luke Mears – Manager – Online Safety at Playstation
- Yu-Lan Scholliers – Head of Product at Checkstep
- The organizers are hosting a lunch and learn, which I love, all about what women in Trust & Safety want from the very interesting Inbal Goldberger – Trust & Safety expert with Daniela Matuschka – Senior Policy & Partnerships Lead at Google.
- The closing session includes Abhijnan Dasgupta, Practice Director for Trust & Safety at the Everest Group and he will be talking about what is next for Trust & Safety Professionals. He will be joined by several speakers, including Jeff Dunn, VP of Trust and Safety at Hinge.
This is the first event of its kind in the UK, and we are excited to see the kind of discussions that happen at the sessions and afterwards.
Come say hi!
We will have a booth in the coffee and lunch area, so please drop by and say hello. You can win some really nice SWAG, gift cards and much more. We are bringing lots of Zevo peeps there to attend all the sessions, meet lots of people and talk about our new Trust & Safety focus.
Looking forward to seeing you next week!
