Hello everyone and welcome to today’s webinar on Ireland’s Fittest Workplace 2023. My name is Emma Cook, Commercial Manager for Zeebo Help and for the next 15 minutes I’m delighted to introduce you to the challenge, what’s involved, how it works and how the challenge can positively impact your organisation.

But before we do that, let’s hear what some previous participants had to say. It was extremely competitive, I won’t lie, we’re an organisation, we work in the recruitment industry, we’re able to see how the other workplaces we’re doing, how we’re referring, everybody comes together in the same mindset, the same ambition and it brings people together, it’s very social.

We are a very competitive organisation so in the words of Arne we will be back and we will compete again. There were people who were walking 15,000 steps a day and these were the same people who would not walk up the stairs in the office in the normal day and that really surprised me.

Someone who doesn’t regard physical exercise as important, here they were now, getting out every day, sometimes 15,000 steps, sometimes 20,000 steps and loving it and relishing the fact that they were at top of the leaderboard.

Ireland’s Fittest Workplace is an annual physical activity challenge hosted by Zeebo via the Zeebo Health app.

Each year we see small, medium, and large enterprise organizations taking part to battle it out and win the title of Ireland’s fittest workplace. Registration is very simple. You download the Zevo Health app onto your smartphone, connect the app with your fitness tracker, whether it’s a wearable or your mobile phone tracker, and you are ready to go.

There is no manual tracking required. The app does all the work for you. Your only job is to go out, get active, and have fun with your colleagues. Taking part in the challenge is a huge achievement for all involved.

We have companies who, of course, take part determined on victory, but we also see companies who want to simply experience the benefits of the challenge. Every year, Zevo completes a case study on the challenge, which means we collate data from HR interviews, app engagement trends, and employee feedback.

We then report on the multi-dimensional benefits gained from participating in this unique and vibrant workplace challenge. On completion of the 2022 challenge study, 80% of participants reported that they highly enjoy taking part.

70% noticed significant improvement in their wellbeing, and 76% reported significant improvement in their physical activity levels. The results echoed similar in the 2021 challenge, with 89% of participants reporting they were motivated to move more, thus illustrating some consistency in challenge efficacy to inspire people to move more and experience the wonderful challenge.

health benefits that come with it. Turning to HR and well-being reps, 100% of HR respondents reported observable improvements in both employee morale and well-being. 82% rated the challenge as highly valuable and 91% reported that they would definitely sign up again.

So not forgetting the feedback from last year’s participants from Morgan McKinley and Irish League of Credit Unions, they really saw clear improvements in social connection, team cohesion and collaboration, all vital areas for us to focus on while most workforces operate in a remote and hybrid working model.

So a little bit more on how it works. By signing up to the challenge, the cost automatically includes two teams. Each of these teams can have up to 20 participants per team, and your organization can sign up an unlimited number of additional teams.

Points for the challenge are then awarded based on steps taken. So the average number of steps from all teams competing will represent that company’s position. So ensuring it is fair, no matter how many teams an organization has taking part.

It’s all tracked and managed via the Zevo Health app. So again, no manual entry, simply connect to your fitness tracker and you are ready to go. And the gamification on the app is via the live leaderboards.

The leaderboards create a lot of fun and engagement with everyone tracking their company ranking. It can be quite obsessive, especially for those who are that little bit more competitive. But the teams as well can communicate between themselves via the app, sharing words of encouragement, photos of where they are out walking or running, which really helps motivate and engage everyone.

All participants will get access to the Zevo Health app for a period of four weeks, one week before the challenge, two weeks of the challenge, and one week after, which means full access to all our app has in store to help improve the health and fitness and wellbeing of your employees.

So employees will have access to a wellbeing score calculator, which helps individuals become more aware of the areas of wellbeing they need to focus on, for example, sleep or nutrition, physical activity, and they will also have access to the mood tracker.

So that is there to help you see patterns in your life, understand triggers and timings of different mood states and improve your emotional wellbeing. You will also have access to master classes and these are delivered by Zevo’s health coaches, nutritionists and psychologists.

These education classes are designed to improve the employee’s knowledge and proficiency taking them to the next level in their well-being journey. You will have access to our bank of recipes, they’re there to keep you fuel, they’re there to inspire you to adopt a healthier diet, fueling improved productivity and better moods due to the link between gut and brain functioning as well as our meditations to help you relax and wind down.

The results are tracked and managed via the app. Again, no administration time required by HJOR and well-being teams. Participants have access 24-7 to the leaderboards, which are constantly updating, changing, and highlighting where your organization is ranking.

Due as well to the structure and design of the FITIS workplace, there is no bias between industry or business size. Our data shows that employees in desk-based roles logged equivalent, and in some instances, even higher scores than employees in more active roles on their feet during work shifts.

In fact, over 50% of all our competing businesses, irrespective of industry, registered an average daily step count of over 10,000 steps. So again, this really just highlights the broad range of appeal and an inherent value of competing in Ireland’s FITIS workplace across various business sectors.

So the winning organization receives the official Ireland’s FITIS workplace trophy. Throughout the challenge, there will be plenty of spot prizes daily. For example, best photos shared. All companies have a dedicated challenge manager to ensure a seamless challenge launch for your organization, and for the duration of the challenge, Zevo release helpful tips and health advice via the app for participants.

it to be as much fun as what it was and there was a lot of people who just probably at my stage in life where we kind of ran out of excuses and we just wanted to push ourselves out of the comfort zone.

That’s where we saw an awful lot of benefit and I’d say those habits they stayed with us long after the competition was over. There is nothing but upside to it and I think people on the whole just found it really invigorating, sort of a great sense of connectivity between different teams, some teams who would never have any reason to interact with each other.
